Nanomaterials Assessment Tool (NAT)
A Novel Open-Access Framework for performance and sustainability evaluation
About the tool
NAT is an open-access, web-based framework designed to evaluate nanomaterials across multiple dimensions: materials and reagents, sustainability of synthesis, intrinsic properties, and applicability. It guides users through structured questions with scored choices and produces a normalized assessment that supports transparent comparison of performance and sustainability aspects.
This implementation is intended for researchers, educators, and analysts who need a consistent method to document criteria and visualize outcomes without proprietary software lock-in.
Technology
